How to Join Us
If you are interested in the research of our research group, we warmly welcome you to attend our open lab events held in April and May. Of course, we are also happy to introduce our research outside these periods if you contact us in advance.
Please note that due to space limitations, our research group does not accept research students. We only accept students who have passed the entrance examination and are enrolled in doctoral, master’s, or undergraduate programs at our university, as well as exchange students participating in various exchange programs offered by School of Computing or Insitute of Science Tokyo.
(For those interested in joining through Bachelor’s Independent Research Project (CSC.Z388) (formerly Graduation Research)
An on-campus information session will be held in February. The date and time will be announced on our student portal site and the website of our research group, so please attend if you are interested.
(For those interested in joining as a master’s or doctoral student)
For the master’s program, we actively welcome applications from students who are passionate about software engineering, regardless of their undergraduate background or specialization.
Every year from late April to early May, we hold an open lab event following the information session hosted by the School of Computing. If you are interested, please attend the session. For details on upcoming events, please see this page.
(For those interested in becoming a research student)
Although we receive many inquiries every year, we do not accept research students for the purpose of preparing for the graduate school entrance examination.
Whether or not you have been a research student has absolutely no effect on the entrance examination selection process.
Please take the graduate school entrance examination and join our research group as a master’s student.

Since April 2016, our research group has been part of the School of Computing,
Department of Computer Science at the Institute of Science Tokyo.
Within the current graduate school structure, students may choose either the Computer Science Course (primary affiliation) or the Artificial Intelligence Course (secondary affiliation).
(We recommend the Computer Science Course for those who wish to study the research fields covered by our research group.)
